Is-sinjal għal MQARRUN għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal imqassar għal GĦAĠIN. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 u titqiegħed bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb waqt li l-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ V bil-ponot tas-swaba’ jħarsu lejn l-ewwel id. Is-swaba’ tal-V jduru ’l ġewwa u ’l barra malajr ftit ’il fuq mill-pala tal-id il-wieqfa. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal FORN. L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 dritta iduru bil-pala tħares ’il fuq u s-swaba’ jħarsu ’l barra u jimxu bi skoss wieħed ’il quddiem.
The sign for BAKED MACARONI has two parts. (i) First the shortened sign for PASTA is made. One hand takes the shape of 5 and is held stationary with palm facing sideways whilst the other hand takes the shape of V with fingertips pointing towards the stationary hand. The V fingers turn inwards and outwards a little above the stationary hand. (ii) Then the sign for OVEN is made. The hands take the shape of straight 5 and turn with palms facing upwards and fingers pointing outwards and move forward in one jerky movement.
